작가 박나운은 동시대성에 관심을 가지고 시대상의 변화에 따라 그에 반응하는 동시대인을 디지털 이미지로 표현한다. 강렬한 색상들을 중심으로 우리들을 대변하는 인물모형을 조화시켜 우리가 일상에서 마주하는 시대를 스토리를 가진 하나의 세계관으로 만들어간다.
특히 코로나(COVID-19) 이후의 신질서(new norm) 시대를 살아가야할 현대인에게 '확실함'은 보장되어 있지 않다. 작가는 우리는 불확정성의 시대를 살고있는 현재의 동시대성을 설명하는 엔트로피 개념을 중심으로 작가의 스토리를 완성해나가는 작업을 한다.

Korean artist Na Un Park(Artist's nickname : Nani) has worked on digital imaging of philosophical topic of contemporaneity. She has named her new series of works as "The Children of Entropy". She is expressing people in this era (contemporaries) responding to changes in infinite entropy with the inception of the new norm era after the COVID-19 pandemic.  Entropy, the degree of disorder in thermodynamics, refers to the quantity that represents the uncertainty of system.  Not a single 'Certainty' is guaranteed for people living in the new norm era after the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, she thinks that the concept of entropy is the most appropriate to explain the contemporaries living in an era of uncertainty.  We people must start to live in an era of infinite entropy, where nothing is certain where we can go, who we can meet, and what new things we can do.  In the title of the work, Children refers to us people.  As if everything in the world is unfamiliar to a new-born baby, modern people living in an era of infinite uncertainty are unfamiliar with the “New Norm” era.  Through The Children of Entropy series, Nani expresses a new norm-like view of the world in various ways and provides imagination to comfort the unfamiliarity of the world.  Series 1. The Birth of Eve, begins with the birth of a woman named Eve, the beginning of the worldview.  In Series 2. Encountering of the Children, it is expressed as a mirror image showing the uncertainty of the New Norm era in human relationships. Her work is based on hybrid process of digital imaging, hand drawing, and serendipity. 
She draws and transfers to digital image repeatedly, until she finally picks one for her own will.  She applies the final image on the computer program that the real final comes out to her, independent of her will. Through this work process she wants to express the Zeitgeist as adapting ourselves appropriate to the new norm.

동시대성(contemporaneity)의 디지털 이미징을 주제로 작업해 온 작가 박나운(Artist's nickname : Nani)은 시대상의 변화에 반응하는 동시대인(contemporaries)을 표현하는 시리즈작업을 The Children of Entropy로 명명하였다.열역학의 무질서도를 뜻하는 엔트로피(entropy)는 시스템 내 정보의 불확실도를 나타내는 양을 말한다. 코로나(COVID-19) 이후의 신질서(new norm) 시대를 살아가야할 현대인에게 '확실함'은 보장되어 있지 않다. 그만큼 우리는 불확정성의 시대를 살고있는현재의 동시대성을 설명하기에 엔트로피 개념이 가장 적절하다고 작가는 생각한다. 어디를 갈 수 있을지, 누구를 만나도 될지, 어떤 새로운 일을 해야 할지 모든 것이 확실하지 않은 무한  엔트로피의 시대를 살고 있기 때문이다. 작품 제목에서 Children 은 우리 현대인을 말한다. 마치 어린 아기가 갓 탄생해서 만나는 세상 모든 것이 낯설 듯 무한 불확정성의 시대를 사는 현대인은 ‘New Norm’ 시대가 낯설다. 
작가는 The Children of Entropy시리즈를 통해 작가는 뉴놈(new norm)적 세계관을 다양하게 표현하고 세상의 낯설음을 위로할 상상력을 제공한다.
시리즈 1 The birth of Eve 에서는 세계관의 시작인 태초의 여성 이브라는 사람의 탄생부터 시작하며, 시리즈 2 Encountering of the Children 에서는 인간 관계 속에서 뉴놈시대의 불확정성을 보여주는 거울이미지로 표현한다.
그의 작품은 디지털 이미징, 핸드 드로잉, 우연성의 복합적인 과정을 바탕으로 한다. 반복적인 작업을 통해서 최종적으로 나오는 이미지를 디지털화 과정으로 옮기는 과정을 거친다.  
우연성과 의도성의 중간결과로 나오는 최종 이미지를 컴퓨터 프로그램에 응용하는 이 작업 과정을 통해 작가는 시대정신을 새로운 규범(New Norm)에 적응하는 것으로 표현한다.
